2007 horror movie starring Sam Rockwell and Vera Farmiga. The arrival of a newborn baby daughter should be a happy event for most families, but for the Cairn family of Manhattan it proves to be the start of a terrifying series of events. Firstborn son Joshua (Jacob Kogan), a precocious but solemn nine-year-old, seems to be severely disturbed by the arrival of baby Lily. Harrowing events begin to happen and, mysteriously, the family pets are found dead. Baby Lily changes from a contented blessing to a screaming nightmare. Brad (Rockwell) and Abby (Farmiga) Cairn begin to crack under the strain as their seemingly perfect family life disintegrates before their eyes. What is causing this to happen? Is it merely the strain of having a new baby? Or does the enigmatic Joshua hold the answer to their horrendous ordeal?
