Yes, you already sent Zombie Hitler to hell at least once in Zombie Army Trilogy, but it's hard to fault the evil undead for doing what they do: rising again. They're back for more bloody murder brought to you by the team at Rebellion behind Sniper Elite 4. This horrific campaign will take you and, if you fancy some co-op, three other players on a visceral romp through 1940s Europe. So, first things first: the x-ray killcam is back, enabling to replay your greatest hits in slow motion from the point of view of a bullet, with a front row seat to what's happening on the inside of the zombie you just shot. It's brutal, it's messy and it's strangely beautiful. There are plenty of ways to kill those pesky zombies, too, with huge levels and epic weaponry that harnesses fire, lightning and divine essence. You can even mix and match, putting together your own creations like pistols with flaming bayonets or lightning-spewing assault rifles. If you're really up against it, you might have to use the game's enhanced melee combat to smash some skulls. Or, in horde mode, take down wave after wave of the walking dead, watching the map expand for every minute you manage to stay alive. Of course, if there's one thing that will keep you coming back for more Zombie Army games, it's the meaty satisfaction that comes from a well-placed headshot. Because this is a zombie game, Rebellion isn't even that sparing with them and you'll get lots of chances to make their brains fly out the back of their skulls and then watch it back in slow motion from the point of the bullet. For all its arcade-y frivolousness, you can still see hints of the Sniper Elite series that birthed the Zombie Army franchise in the bullet-drop and wind effects you have to accommodate in a long-range kill. Don't let the satisfying physics of the game's ballistics fool you, though - this game is all-out bloody action.
