Dervla Kirwan stars in this Irish miniseries set on the west coast of Clare. The morning after her 50th birthday celebration Val Ahern (Kirwan) discovers that her husband Denis (Stuart Graham) has been killed. As the tensions present in their marriage come under scrutiny and Val's three daughters reveal their own dark secrets Val does all she can to protect those closest to her.
