The noble six-legged steed of the Na’vi, the Direhorse is important as a mode of transport as well as a hunting mount for all Na’vi clans. The Omatikayan warrior, Tsu’tey, is a skilled Direhorse rider and had proven to be the finest warrior of the clan, becoming the leader of the clan's hunters.

Once a Direhorse is intertwined & bonded, the Na'vi rider can communicate motor commands instantly through the neural interface. The apparent lack of effort makes it seem as if the Direhorse is an extension of the rider's own body.
