Bev (Jessica Hynes) is a downtrodden wife who has managed to fail her test eight times. Her husband, Ian (Shaun Dingwall), has been no help in instructing her due to his frustrating approach. Inspired by glamorous driving school owner Fiona (Sarah Hadland), Bev is determined to succeed along with a group of other learner drivers.
