There are more than 60 playable characters you can unlock? both enemies and those on your side (Marion Ravenwood, Short Round, Rene Belloq, Willie Scott, Marcus Brody, Jones Senior and Mola Ram).
Some of the characters have unique skills. Satipo, for example, can help with excavations, Marcus Brody can jump with an umbrella and Marion Ravenwood takes the help of monkeys.
