Designed with the advice of wine experts, Merlot combines the clarity and beauty of crystal with bowl and glass forms that bring out the bouquet, appearance, and above all the flavor of wines and other beverages. The series designer, Erika Lagerbielke was awarded the prize Excellent Swedish Design during the launch in 1995.
