In 1930s Los Angeles, 50 years after the events of 'Penny Dreadful', LAPD detectives Tiago Vega (Daniel Zovatto) and Lewis Michener (Nathan Lane) investigate a gruesome murder as racial tensions simmer across the city. Meanwhile, demon Magda (Natalie Dormer) fuels the violent unrest.
