Samuel L. Jackson returns to star as private investigator John Shaft in this US action comedy. When he learns his best friend has died of a drug overdose, John 'JJ' Shaft III (Jessie T.

Usher), a cybersecurity analyst for the FBI, suspects he was murdered and decides to investigate the crime himself. After running into trouble, he seeks out the help of his infamous father whom he hasn't seen in 25 years. Together they navigate Harlem's criminal underworld and uncover a drug smuggling ring, while Shaft plans to take down the drug lord he has been hunting for 25 years.
