Thomas von Steinaecker directs this documentary about the life and career of German film-maker Werner Herzog. von Steinaecker explores Herzog's cinematic highlights including 'Even Dwarfs Started Small' (1970), 'Aguirre, the Wrath of God' (1972) and 'Fitzcarraldo' (1982) and his later documentary work such as 'Grizzly Man' (2005). Archival footage, movie clips and interviews with Herzog and collaborators including Christian Bale, Nicole Kidman, Robert Pattinson and Carl Weathers are featured.
