A falling star. A secret mission. A world to save. High above Victorian London, teenage H. G. 'Bertie' Wells watches the stars fall - and a mysterious object crash near the Crystal Palace. Bertie is caught up in a cosmic race with spies, secret societies and sky-high danger. He must team up with daredevil Leona Dare, trailblazing Black actor Ira Aldridge, and celebrity socialite Lilly Langtry - but can he trust them? And can Bertie stop humanity from making an intergalactic enemy? If Bertie fails, Earth won't get a second chance. An exhilarating adventure that sparks the imagination of a future writer and might just prevent a real-life War of the Worlds.
