But when her father is given three weeks to live, and Nete virtuously insists that he move in to her family home, things begin to unravel. The illness is not so terminal as it seemed, and as Nete's father begins to recover, the father/daughter relationship shows signs of strain. Meanwhile, Nete's husband starts an affair, and her daughter is growing increasingly distant. But as Nete's firm control gives way, she finds herself able to let go and actually starts to enjoy herself.
